ASA 105 – Coastal Navigation

Coastal Navigation Course – $695
This comprehensive course will enable the sailor or power-boater to safely navigate a vessel in coastal or inland waters. The course covers chart reading, buoyage, lights, bearings and fixes, dead reckoning, set & drift, tides and currents, signals, and much more.The student should bring dividers, parallel rule, pencils, and notebook.This course is taught solely in the classroom, however an opportunity to apply theory on a 48 hour cruise will be available with the Bareboat Chartering course agenda.
Because no sea time is required, Norton’s offers this class during the winter months. Additional classes may be scheduled on a case-by-case basis. This 32 hour course is offered over two consecutive weekends or with a break weekend in between.
