We offer Bareboat charters ranging from 3 to 14 days or we can design a custom package for you. If you are in need of a captained charter, We
will be happy to provide you with a list of qualified captains, however, it is the responsibility of the charterer to hire a captain for the charter.
A “Bareboat charter” is a boat charter without captain or crew. During the charter period, the charterer determines the itinerary, sailing routes,
destinations, etc. The charterer also assumes responsibility for the boat during the term of the contract; he or she acts as owner of the yacht. To bareboat charter a
boat with Nortons, you will need to be ASA 104 certified OR provide a sufficient sailing resume showing you have experience operating a boat of similar size (within
five feet), displacement, and rig, and have comparable navigating experience to the planned itinerary. Don’t have either? We have an ASA-certified sailing school here
on site! (link to sailing school page)
Additional expenses include fuel, holding tank pump-outs, provisioning, $150 cleaning fee, 2% watercraft tax as well as the security deposit of $1500.
We always offer the ability to reschedule a charter. If your charter can’t be rescheduled and the charter is cancelled more than 30 days prior to your departure date, then your deposit if fully refundable. If between 30 days and 10 days, your deposit is forfeited. If a charter is cancelled 10 days or less prior to departure, there will be no refund. No charters will be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or rain.
Your charter boat is available for check-out at 8 AM on the first day of the charter. We walk you through a rigorous check-in procedure to ensure you are comfortable
on the boat. We require the boat to be back at our docks by 4 PM on the last day of the charter.
Yes, we offer early boarding the night before for $100-$150 (depends on the size of the boat).
