Jeanneau Yachts 55 Overview

The time has finally come… and if you’re like us this may be the yacht we’ve all been waiting for. The Jeanneau Yachts 55 is finally ready for production order! This 55 foot sailing yacht is an expansion of the current family of sailing yachts that consist of 54, 60 and 65 foot models. The Jeanneau Yachts 55 is designed for sailors who love sailing on the open water and travel, and this yacht provides a smooth and quiet boating experience. The Norton Yachts team is excited to see this magnificent vessel when we travel to boot Dusseldorf in February for the world’s largest indoor boat show.

Interior

The 55 foot sailing yacht offers a generous living space that is designed to create an owner-oriented experience. A true private apartment with a unique layout, the forward owner’s suite occupies a full two thirds of the interior. With plenty of light allowed in from the numerous windows throughout, the interior is comfortable and bright, with fantastic views all around.

The main companionway provides private access to the owner’s suite and contains numerous handholds to help maintain safety while onboard and underway. The JY 55 interior also features guest cabins that hold double beds, both having access to their own private bathroom which allows guests to enjoy completely independent living spaces. The guest cabins are both accessible from the cockpit by two separate companionways. 

Exterior

In addition to the spacious interior, the exterior features a Dual Cockpit. The aft is dedicated to relaxation with two saloons, one U-shaped and one L-shaped, both of which convert into sundecks and a gigantic hydraulic swim platform. Twin helms positioned forward include an exterior chart table with a GPS screen and autopilot controls sheltered by the wide hard-top wraparound windscreen that offers incredible visibility. These exciting features allow sailors to cruise anywhere and anytime, regardless of season or latitude.

The Jeanneau Yachts 55 is designed with comfort in mind, which is why there is ample deck space to meet all requirements and also features generous wraparound side-decks that make it easier to move around the perimeter of the cockpit. If you like entertaining, this is the yacht for you.
